Dear All
I wanted to check where can we get our documents certified in Melbourne? What is the process and do we need to take any appointments?
Also, do they charge any fees for certification?
Is the certification requirement different for ACS assessment and DIBP for Visa purposes?
DIBP do not require any document to be certified as long as it is scanned in colour
ACS has a list of the people who are authorised to do the attestation
Certification can be authorised within Australia by:
a registered migration agent - a justice of the peace or a bail justice
an Australian lawyer - a member of the police force - a public notary
a sheriff or a deputy sheriff - a councillor of a municipality
a senior officer of a council - a medical practitioner
a dentist - a veterinary practitioner - a pharmacist
a principal in the teaching service - a minister of religion authorised to celebrate marriages
a member or former member of either House of the Parliament of the Commonwealth
The charges if any, you would have to ask the person from whom you are planning to get it done
Justice of peace in NZ do it for free and I presume so would be in Australia
Ask them and confirm
Cheers
