My passport is gone to be renewed, I've started my ss application online and I've 5days to complete it. I've everything uploaded as for as my cv. Do I need my passport to complete it?

I applied for Victoria SS with a passport number and meanwhile I applied for renewal of my passport as well and obviously got a new passport number. Victoria granted me a SS with old number itself.

Later when I applied for 176 and when I notified Victoria of my TRN number I requested them to update mine, my wife's passport number include my son also as my dependent. They are happy to do that and confirmed me the same that they have updated and sent Form 1100 to DIAC.

So don't worry about your passport number. Go ahead with old passport itself.

I dont remember submitting my passport number as part of my VIC SS application. Is it a mandatory field while submitting application?
Sorry for my bad memory...i was surprised after seeing this post and wondering which number i had submitted

yes even passport is not mandatory but I just gave to prove that 2 other are dependent on me because form 1100 they send to DIAC asks how many dependents the applicant has.

But as per the process, even passport is not mandatory but if you have quoted your passport number then make sure to correct it as well to be on safer side.
