Hi,

I'm still trying to find a way of being able to bring my south african wife to the UK (we don't meet the financial requirements for a spouse visa).

We have a 18 month old British son, can I apply for a derivative residence card for my wife to be the carer of my son?

I don't think there is such a thing.

If you don't meet the financial requirement he choices are a work visa, student visa, investor or entrepreneur visa.

Found it on the UKBA website, but I think its only for European citizens
