Now I'm really confused. All those citations just posted about Gorsuch refer to political opposition on ideaological grounds. So we are now to equate political opposition with "character assassination"? With accusations of sexual assault? This disingenuous reliance on false equivalencies has become the go-to argument whenever facts are in short supply.

But in any case, I intended the post about Gorsuch not to relitigate his confirmation, but solely to point out that Sean Hannity has a better command of bluster than of fact. And thus is not a credible source.

Edited to add: But I'm afraid this is really an absurdly minor point, given the credibility of so many other cited sources!

.
No, you implied that Gorsuch was unopposed. He wasn't

https://www.google.com.mx/amp/s/amp.../brett-kavanaughs-partisanship#ampf=undefined

This article has some info. on why partisan justices are troublesome to democracies and Kavanaugh is partisan to Republicans.

"This is unsurprising—and, if Mr Kavanaugh were a politician, it would be acceptable. Social scientists have long demonstrated the extent to which moral reasoning is shaped by social pressures, not the objective standards of decency and fitness that a Senate confirmation hearing is expected to adhere to. Recent research, by Ezra Zuckerman-Sivan of MIT and others, has also demonstrated the extent to which voters permit, or expect, their political champions to lie in support of their chosen outlook.

Mr Trump’s supporters knew perfectly well that climate change was not, as he claimed, a hoax made up by the Chinese to kill American manufacturing. But they liked the targets he presented in that sentence too much to mind the lie. Many Democrats, similarly, chose to ignore Bill Clinton’s lies about his dalliance with an intern because they preferred to see him as a victim of Republican activism. Little wonder, as Mr Zuckerman-Sivan noted this week, that hardly any conservative is upset by Mr Kavanaugh’s untruths about his teenage drinking and understanding of the word “boof”. Yet there is a difference between these examples. Politicians are the inevitable protagonists in America’s political war. They are expected to lie and can be ejected. Mr Kavanaugh is on the cusp of a lifetime employment to the Supreme Court bench, where he would be charged with mediating disputes between America’s rival worlds. That he is being compared to politicians suggest how alarming that is."

" Former Yale Law School Dean: Kavanaugh's Confirmation Is An 'American Tragedy'

Referring to a Wall Street Journal editorial penned last week by Kavanaugh in which the judge admitted to having been, perhaps, “too emotional at times” during his hearing before the Senate Judicial Committee and in which he vowed to be “an independent and impartial” judge, Post stressed that Kavanaugh “cannot have it both ways.”

“He cannot gain confirmation by unleashing partisan fury while simultaneously claiming that he possesses a judicial and impartial temperament,” said Post.

Kavanaugh, Post continued, will therefore “join the court as the black-robed embodiment of raw partisan power inconsistent with any ideal of an impartial judiciary.”

“His very presence will undermine the court’s claim to legitimacy; it will damage the nation’s commitment to the rule of law. It will be an American tragedy,” Post concluded. "

People now understand what all the pushback is all about. This is why Kavanaugh was another Republican snow job on the American people and needs to stop or America is in really big trouble. It is wonderful true American patriots are upset and are speaking up and exposing the con jobs and constant lies Republicans are engaging it to take advantage of the under educated and disinformed citizens who keep voting Republicans in who have raided the treasury, increased the deficit substanially and are on their way to limiting civil rights, taking public education and handing it over to the private sector - dumbing down Americans even more, gutting HUD, gutting the EPA, rising concerns over the ecomony with huge tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy and trade tariffs hurting businesses and raising some comsumer costs and eventually inflation, etc.. IMO

Google isn't biased or anything. Has to make one wonder on the validity of searches.

https://www.foxnews.com/tech/google-exec-slams-gop-over-kavanaugh-nomination-f-k-you-all-to-hell
So one employee of Googles opinión among the ninety thousand they employ has you wondering about their validity as unbiased. Not me I like Google and it´s marvelous advanced logarithms. Easy and complete searches are a breeze with Google. What happened to freedom of speach on someones off hours from their job. Does it still exist?
That Fox News article argues to paraphrase: Employees of a company who have an opinion reflect the opinion of the company. Invalid and nonsense from Fox News as ususal. Very biased against innocent Google and misleading as usual. There has been reports of employees stating or acting out racism and getting fired. Good for those companies. Nobody wants to pay a racist to work for them and screw up their business.

Apparently one of us didn't, since one of us has frequently cited it as a source to provide credibility to claims about the contemptible behavior of the left.

.
You do know the definition of satire, right? Did it ever occur to you that this is exactly what the "one of us" is doing? Ridiculing, exposing and criticize stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics?

There is an amazing difference in results when you ask a political question of Google and then compare it to Yahoo, for example ask "faults on Obama's birth certificate" on both or "Michael Lavaugn Robinson"

Google´s logarithm is years ahead of Yahoo´s. Google has almost 90,000 employees. Extremely easy to understand why the big difference between the two.

A journalist embedded with anti-Kavanaugh protesters says that some protesters were in fact paid, as President Trump has alleged.

“There were people who were paid by organizations like UltraViolet to try to harness that energy in a way that would make the viral moments that we ended up seeing,” said Ms. Thomas.

Great idea pay a few. You don´t care about Americans getting conned but worry about a few protesters making a few dollar. I agree, where can I donate to their pay for the next patriotic demonstration against the injustice by Republicans.

Kavanaugh Accuser Admits She Never Met Him, Allegations Were Made Up

Committee investigators then looked into Munro-Leighton’s background and learned she is a “left-wing activist,” who is decades older than Judge Kavanaugh and lived in “neither the Washington DC area nor California, but in Kentucky.”

Under questioning by the committee, Munro-Leighton admitted she did not write the Jane Doe letter and that she “just wanted to get attention,” and her actions were a “tactic” and a “ploy” because she opposed Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

Ah, the Washington Times, a right-wing rag founded by the head of the Moonies!
So sorry, did your left wing rag not carry the story?

Munro-Leighton took responsibility for authoring an anonymous letter that made allegations that Kavanaugh and a friend raped her. After she was tracked down and interviewed by Senate investigators, the woman recanted and said she was not, in fact. the author and had never met Kavanaugh.
