I should be applying for the extension by early July. And will begin to collate the necessary documents together from next month.

I wondered, concerning the letter from employer, how early can I request that? If I request it next month (MAY), but don’t apply til 2months later, will that be a problem.
Must the letter be dated within a specific time frame of the application?

Most applications always require supporting documents dated within 3 months of application dates. Not sure if this applies to Spouse Visa renewals also.

Your financial documents; pay slips, bank statements and letter of employment, should be no more than 28 days old at the time of application. Everything else should be as current as possible.

We have recently had a few posters who were refused because their letter of employment was more than 28 days old.
