Hi every one,
We are a french family, actually living in New Caledonia .
My husband is an IT Manager with more than 20 years of skills, he's 46 :/ ( his job is referenced in the skill list for 482 TSS Visa) .
We send about 300 resumes... Pendragon Management is ok to sponsor us but we need to find a job .
The problem is that it seems to be very hard to find a job when you are overseas even if you are in New Caledonia ( 2 hours by plane from Sydney, Brisbane etc etc ) we're neighboors !!!! :D But I've read the we have to put a local adress on the resume :/ how can we do that ?!?
Thank you in advance for your support

It is a crazy question !:p
If you are not physically in Australia, your chance to get employed is very slim. However if you have strong connection in Australia and your job is indispensable, you may still have a shot.
So it would be close to impossible if you don't have any connection and you don't live in Australia.
Cheers,

If I send My husband in Australia with a tourist visa to find a job, will it be easier ?
the thing is, he's got a job here in New Caledonia but he can't leave his job until he's found a new one
He makes connections via Linkedin .
It's very complicated ...

Have you considered that Even if you get a job, the chances of getting a pr will be low due the low points because if 46 age

Agreed. All govt organisation are only for PR or citizens. Private companies consider other visa holders theoretically, but in reality they hardly call even for interview unless you have a good source.

so to be clear: you and your husband have full working right to stay and work anywhere in Australia?

if not, you are at a major disadvantage unless you have some specialised skills that are in demand and companies are willing to sponsor you.

"Pendragon Management is ok to sponsor us but we need to find a job ." how are they sponsoring you if You have to find a job?

It doesn't matter if you put a local address or not. Every company will ask you what your citizenship status are, if you are not PR or citizen, they will ask you if you have a current visa that allows you to work, if you don't, you are very unlikely to be hired.

Entering Australia on a visitor visa with the intention to find work is a breach of visa conditions afaik. You may be denied entry by immigration if they suspect anything

Oh and someone ask me what Pendragon Management is ? it's a compagny who can sponsor you if you have high skills in your job. but you have to find a job first as we say in french : c'est le serpent qui se mord la queue ...

99% of companies won't hire you on a temporary visa, thats just the way the companies work. Theres a risk that you could just leave the country whenever, every company wants skilled committed workers.

if you want to work and live in Australia, -yes you need a visa.
do your homework and explore the different visas. finding a job and getting sponsored is one of the multiple pathways to permanent residency but not the only one.

TSS: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/temporary-skill-shortage-482

bonne chance :)
Thank you but I know what TSS visa is ... I just asked what is its use if employers don't hire people with this visa . And yes I did my homework !

As far as I understand, only the employer who is employing you can sponsor you for a PR. In other words, Pendragon Management can sponsor you only if they hire you. And I think there are some requirements on employer too if they want to sponsor someone.
(But may be I'm wrong, there may be other sponsorship that I'm not aware of? Just beware of the "empty promise" that may be offered...)

In any case, all the best to your husband finding a job!

From what I read, they sponsor on behalf of companies, which means companies themselves must agree to nominate and sponsor you in order to proceed. So I suspect they play the role of a middle man here in applying for this visa, which is no different from a migration agency. I strongly recommend that you read thru all the details on visa 482 on Immi aus website to understand clearly.

Getting a TSS visa is very difficult, it is the way it is, otherwise Australia would be flooded with Indian, Chinese and other 3rd world workers.

Just took a quick look, and found this:

https://www.abf.gov.au/about-us/what-we-do/sponsor-sanctions/visas-and-sponsorship

Under the heading of "Paying for visa sponsorship", it states:
It is against the law for a sponsor or any other person to ask for or receive a benefit in exchange for visa sponsorship. It is also against the law for you, or any other person to offer or provide a benefit in exchange for visa sponsorship. Sponsors or visa holders can face civil and criminal penalties.

It seems not possible for this company to sponsor you for an exchange of a fee or other benefits. However, I really am not sure if there is such a thing as "surrogate sponsorship" (there are so many things I still have to learn). Just make sure to read all the info on such things? There are quite a number of scams these days targeting at people who want to migrate (e.g. making fake job offers requesting your personal info).

Good luck.
