Hello Everyone, my wife's Entry Clearance was successful and we are gratefull for all the help we recieved from this forum. We are now in the UK in our new home.

My wife would like to prepare early for the next stage which is the FLR M. We are trying to understand the "6 pc of correspondance" bit.

So say if we have, in Joint Names: Council Tax Bill, Water Bill and BT broadband bill, is that enough to satisfy the UKVI? 3 of each representing 2017, 2018 and 2019?

We also have a UK joint bank account.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

No, you must show:

. 6 joint named correspondence in total or
. 6 for each -making it 12 in total (2 x 6 )or
. 3 joint and 3 for each ( 3 joint + 3 = 6 and 3 joint + 3 = 6 )

You can repeat them like this:

Water - Jan 2017, 2018 and 2019; Council tax - say April 2017, 2018 and 2019; BT - July 2017, 2018 and 2019, bank statmemnt - Oct 2017, 2018 and 2019 etc

Some applicants have been asked by the ECO for at least 3 letters per year.

GP/hospital appointments, poll card, TV licence, DWP (NI number) letter are amongst the accepted sources.

You're welcome. Make sure you save all the letters you receive until the FLR application. Most importantly, keep an eye on this forum at least every 4 months or so, as you know UKVI changes visa rules and procedures regularly.

Thanks Joppa. So am I right in assuming that all we need are 3 joint named bills spread out between 2017-2020?

By that I mean:
Joint council tax 2017-2019
Joint water bill 2017-2019
Joint BT bill 2017-2020
Joint Barclays acc 2017-2020

Or do we need 2 more joint bills source?

You need 6 joint pieces of evidence, such as 6 bills in joint names (Mr & Mrs etc).
Or 12 single pieces of evidence, such as 6 from you and 6 from your partner.
Or a combination of the two, such as 4 joint pieces of evidence and 2 individual pieces.

Thanks Joppa. Its hard to understand these things sometimes cos nobody wants to make silly mistakes.

So my understanding from what you mentioned is if we have all bills in joint names, we will submit 3 joint bills for 2017-18 and 3 joint bills for 2018-19. That makes 6. Correct?
So sorry if we appear to be so stupid. Cant get this one wrong.
