Confusion over Occupation List of WA

Hi All,

I have been assigned code 2231-17 Applications and Analyst
Programmer in ACS Result. And when I see the correlation with ANZSCO Code it shows me 261312 Developer Programmer and 261311 Analyst Programmer.
Now when I went thru the list of WA Occupation List they have mentioned 261111 (ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) business
analyst (software and applications programmer)) and 261313 (Software engineer (software and applications programmer)). I dont understand why they have explicitly mentioned S/W & Application Programmer. Does this mean they will accept Application Programmer also?So do you guys think, I fall into the category and I can apply or not?

btw, when WA is opening up any idea?

No matter what code you apply with to the ACS, they will tell you what they think you are from the information you gave them.

Hey Kaz101,

My question is not that ACS will assign what code........The question is by same code........can I eligible for WA SS or not?

Now I understand. As far as I'm aware WA will only accept the codes on their list - if the code that you've been given isn't on there then I don't think you'll be accepted. But that's only my understanding of it - I'm not an expert.

Thanks for the reply. But then how come they have mentioned software and applications programmer??? And my code 2231-17 is also about Application Programmer.

anyone else has any idea on this?
