Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with applying for a skills assessment? It's so confusing because the occupation descriptions are almost the same and duties listed by the ACS are identical.

The big difference is that 261399 is not suitable for MLTSSL while 261313 is. This is so confusing.

If I apply for my skills assessment, what if they say that my job is more like 261399 than 261313 for whatever reason? My job title is "Software Java Developer" and could fit under both of these occupations, however I read that some software engineers were assigned the non-189 visa code by ACS even though they applied for the other code.

Would love to hear if someone has dealt with this matter.

Go for 261313... My designations were Software Developer, Software Engineer, Tech Lead and Team Lead in the companies I worked with... Make sure your roles and responsibilities are equivalent to 261313 in the reference letter
