Hi Shaqqy!
We are almost in the same boat. Can I ask you how the procedure of refund went with the private health insurance?
I am wondering how much of my payment can be refunded.

Cheers,
Russell

A 457 visa holder can cancel their private health cover once they've applied for Medicare, but the insurance carrier wouldn't refund your insurance premiums. They'd simply stop billing you from that date forward.
