Hello,

I saw in your post that you applied at 1 year and 11 months and were still successful. My partner and I are in a similar situation where we will have been living together for 2 years in the middle of August of this year.

I spoke with an immigration specialist and she informed me that I could make my application on FML(R) anytime up to 28 days before our 2 years were established. Was that they understanding you got when you spoke to the Immigration Officers are the premium services centre? I am planning on using them as well. Or is it 28 days from the date my visa will expire? My visa doesn't expire until September...

Further, what did you put in your cover letter to explain that you were shy of the 2 years, if you don't mind my asking.

Thank you!

I have started a new thread for you. The thread you posted on is nearly 9 months old and the OP hasn't posted since. It's best to start a new thread rather than reopen old threads.

As you have the time to reach the full 2 years before your visa expires you should really wait to apply until then.

Thank you for starting the new thread. It was the most relevant to my question so I figured I would add on.

I have to go back to the US for a family wedding before our 2 years comes up and have been told I cannot come back on my Tier 4 between then and when my visa expires, hence the urgency of applying before I leave.

Thanks for your response, though!

Both my uni and personal immigration advisors have told me that at that time as the "purpose" of my visa will no longer be valid (unless I have resit exams) I will not be allowed back in.
