Hi guys!

I have finished IELTS (7+), and ACS (+ve).
All in all 60 points enough for 189. However, since the occupation ceiling for 2613 is closed for this programme year, I'm thinking of going for NSW state sponsorship.

Hoping you could answer my questions.

1. As I understand, below is the process for NSW SS. Is this correct?
- update my existing EOI to include 190, and choose NSW
- wait for NSW invite, then fill up some forms and apply to NSW within 14 days
- wait for NSW nomination, then I will be invited to apply for 190
- the rest is the same process as 189

2. Is there any difference in requirements from 189, and 190 NSW SS?
- based on what I read, nothing really, as long as you get the proper points

3. How often do NSW send invites?

4. If ever I'm lucky to get the grant for 190 NSW SS, will I be able to work in Sydney?

Sorry if some questions have obvious answers, just want to confirm with the experts before updating my EOI :)

no man, just wait for 189, its better. They will reopen in July, not long time to wait. And now the quota of state sponsorship visa is full and its less than the quota of independent visa. In this case, you must also wait until July for 190. Even 190 & 489 lodged applicants also wait for July due to a delay mail from DIBP for SS ones

Yeah it seems July is the deciding factor for me.
Any link for the quota of SS?

Aynways, since my target is also Sydney, I'm considering checking that 190 NSW.
I'll just wait whichever visa option I'll get invited first.

[JEET] - Yes, you have summed up the process perfectly.

[JEET] - Nothing

3. How often do NSW send invites?

[JEET] - Invitations may be sent every day, as It's an ongoing thing

4. If ever I'm lucky to get the grant for 190 NSW SS, will I be able to work in Sydney?

[JEET] - Yes you are allowed to work anywhere in NSW, BUT you have to live and work in NSW for the FIRST 2 years of your VISA tenure.

Thanks Alnaibii and Jeeten for answering my queries.

Do you know if there's any additional things to do when invited to apply for NSW SS?
I've read that there's a need to make a CV?

The following documents are required for every application:

* Bio-data page of your passport – please do not scan the entire passport.
* Current skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation.
* English language ability results – IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)* or OET.
* Educational qualifications – certificates and academic transcripts.
* Full curriculum vitae/resume.
* Evidence to support all points-related claims that you make in your application.

To process your application without delay please:

* Name each document appropriately – for example "passport", "employment" and "resume".
* Ensure that each document is clear and easy to read.
* Ensure that each document is either a colour copy of the original, or a certified black and white copy.
* Where possible, upload the files as pdf documents and ensure that the size of the files are not too big, as this can significantly slow down the upload process.

REF: Evidence and mandatory documents to include in your application
