Hey Guys,
I am planning to submit an EOI with the following points -

Identity - 25
Recognised Qualifications - 60
Recognised Work Experience - 40
Recognised Qualifications for Partner - 20

I am a Software Engineer with >8 years of Experience - BE in Telecommunications, Age 30. My Wife also a Software Engineer, DEgree in Computer Science. No job Offers in NZ.

The total adds up to 145. Just wanted to check if this is fine. I have claimed points under "Absolute Growth Areas", Is this correct?

Hi. Sorry cant help directly. Don't know the individual items that made up my EOI back in October 2009 but I had a total of 150 points for the electrical engineering field from the UK & I was pulled out of the pool almost immediately. I went straight for permanent residency visa without a job offer. Got the visa first then got a job before arrival. We used an Immigration Consultancy in Auckland and I would recommend using one. It costs but they take away all the hassle and always do it right. If you do anything wrong Immigration NZ won't advise the right way. They'll just send it back. Good luck
