I'm sure that this will have been queried before, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the situation would be for an Australian citizen in the UK getting into a civil partnership and then trying to bring their partner over to Aus?

If you're not sure, could you point me in the right direction to find out?

Many thanks

It's accepted for immigration purposes and the spouse visa would be valid. In AU it's called a de-facto relationship.

Please start by taking a look at this link and do a search on the forum for spouse visa and de-facto as search terms, you will see many posts.
