Changes in Skills assessment from Jan 2010

Hello !!

I am new to this forum.

We are looking to migrate to Australia and have been meeting some agents regarding the same. We were told by one of the agents that there are some changes in Skills Assessment from Jan 1st 2010 which might effect our application and have to speed up our application process. We do not want to be hurried.

I hold a Post graduate diploma in Marketing and have 5 yrs experience in Marketing/BD. Before doing my PGDBM I did my BE but did not work after my Engineering. I am applying under sublass 176.

Will the new change effect my Skills assessment?

Welcome to the forum,

Jan 2010, Diac is adding job ready Test, We have only heard about it, we still do not know much, as how it is going to effect the application process.

As I read your post, I understand that you are applying under 176 subclass which is relative sponsored or state sponsored, have you got your sponsorship completed already?

Good luck..
Does someone know what job ready Test is??
what would it look like and how it is going to be done:by the Internet or ......
Any clue???
Knowledge is power. That agent inevitably sounds like a salesman - all sales are always 2nd-to-last or last day.

Seems to be for tradepersons. Are you one?

General Skilled Migration (GSM) Reforms
No. I am a marketing person with 5+yrs exp in Marketing.
What is job ready Test ?????
And how does it affect the current applications.
At what stage in the application process is the job ready test going to be applied?
During the skills assessment with ACS for IT, or to be submitted along with the medicals and PCC?

Maverick.

Hey sgseashwar,

Like riversandlake said, in today's world knowledge is power.. may be your migration agent is trying to push you fast to reserve a sales.. that's their bread and butter.

Patience is key in immigration process. I lost my fees of $2525 last month because I applied too early.. later I had to withdraw my application without refund.

I have no idea about chennai, but there are few members on this forum from chennai, probably, they might be in better position to advise.
sorry to hear abt that mr.india.

can u share what happened?

Have you checked with WWICS ?

-Shankar
No, I haven't checked with them.

How was your experience with them? How much do they charge?

I have met a couple of agents so far and am totally confused.

I am applying under subclass 176.
