Hello!

I'm so happy to have found this forum! I'm moving from the USA to Sydney to study veterinary medicine.

I read on the AQIS website that cats must be vaccinated with an inactivated form of the rabies vaccine. There is a much safer rabies vaccine called Purevax (merial) and I was wondering if anyone knows if AQIS accepts this vaccine for import? The inactivated version has been proven to cause cancer in cats.

The purevax vaccine is a 1 yr vaccine.

Thank you so much
ps. I have emailed AQIS as well
