If you have no limitations as to what or where you are willing to do, you might try going into agriculture. Years ago, I was a backpacker in Australia and while traveling around I did all sorts of casual jobs. Best time of my life and, believe it or not, the pay can be very solid as well, often higher than in the city. Casual jobs in wine making, cotton or wheat (the season will begin quite soon) can easily bring you in $2000 or so per week (you can deduct the tax). As an added bonus, you have much less reason to spend your money when you are out of the city and the jobs are not stressful at all, if only a little boring. In fact, if I burn out as a skilled worker, I'll be going back to the relaxing farm jobs!
