Hello-
Can someone help me out here. I am an ex-US citizen and my dad still resides in the US. He wants to add me to his WILL for some inheritance when he passes away. If I am the beneficiary to items and also money in his chequing and savings accounts, do I have to file a US tax return for that year after receiving the items and cash or does the executor filing on the estate handle all that? The state he lives in does not seem to have the inheritance tax.

Also, does anyone know if he was to add my name now to accounts he has, would this make me have a tax reporting requirement?

Thanks in advance for any advice!:help:
