Been living in US for over 20 years and US citizen now.

Have two daughters (12 and 14 years old) born in US. Are they able to obtain British citizenship at any time during their lifetime?

Thank you

It is probable that your daughters are already British citizens (British by descent) if you are a Brit born and bred in the UK.

Are you a Brit, born and bred?

Mother or father of the children?

Were you married at time of daughters birth to the other parent of the daughters?

Yes to all of the above
Then your daughters are already British citizens by descent (born outside UK to British parent/s)

Just apply for the passports.

Can they do this at any point in their life then? i.e. after 18 years old? I don't have spare cash to apply for a UK passport if not needed right now.
