Hey All,

I need to make first entry before Sept, 2017.
I am currently in USA and planning to make first entry to Australia from USA.
I have certain queries and I would be grateful if you can clarify the same :

1. Can I travel from USA to make my first entry to Aus? I have Indian passport.

2. What else I need to carry apart from my Indian passport and Grant letter ?

3. Will USA immigration officers allow me to board flight with my Indian passport and Grant letter ? Is Grant letter sufficient to clear immigration or some stamp needs to be required from Australian Embassy ?

Kindly advise if anyone has gone thru same situation.

THX

I can't see any problem. Passport and grant letter are enough. When you land in AUS, they will only scan you passport.

USA Immigration is least bothered where you are going when you are leaving the country.

The Airlines will scan your Passport number in their system and check if you have a valid visa or not for entry into Australia
The Airlines are imposed a penalty if they allow passengers to board who dont have a valid visa or are exempt from requiring a visa

No stamps are required for the Australian Embassy.
The Indian Passport and grant letter are sufficient

Welcome to OZ

Cheers
