Hi everyone,

After being granted a permanent resident visa , can the owner of that visa immediately petition his/her parents?

what would be the prerequisites or requirements to do so?or how long would be the waiting period before a newly permanent resident visa holder in australia can sponsor? waiting period ?

Thank you.

Dear Friend,
Person holding Australian pr can apply for parent resident visa. Please refer the details on site-
Fact Sheet 31 - Family Stream Migration: Parent (Non-Contributory) Visas

As far as waiting period is concerned, it has last priority. And if you want to process it immediately, it requires substantial amount (As per my last update $40k per parent. Please verify.). You can check what is current application fees for fast processing.
