Your credit history does not transfer here. You start anew. Best bet is to apply for a CC when you get here. Theoretically you could use your US CC to buy a car, but I doubt the dealer would go for it (and you'd certainly pay CC fees on top, they're not eating the 2-3 % the CC charges).

I am being transfered from Los Angeles california to Sydney australia and i will be needing to get a car for my business there. I was wondering if anyone knew how the credit works there. I have over a 700 credit score in the states but I heard that it dosent transfer to Australia. Any help would be great
