I finally arrived in the UK and now we are doing the BRP application. I have questions regarding CSI.

My wife has private health insurance in Poland which doesn't cover me. I was thinking I should get CSI, but there is no option on the application that just says that she is gonna cover her self and I will get my own CSI.

Will we both need to be on the same plan?

What does CSI need to actually cover.

What would the most efficient way of obtaining CSI be?

You and your wife only need CSI if she is a student in UK or is self-sufficient, relying on savings or your income. If she is in work, neither of you need CSI.

Often overseas health insurance policy isn't acceptable to Home Office. Normally, UK CSI policy costs around £500 per year per person.

Overseas as in not UK or as in America, because she is Polish? Can she get her EHIC card and I get my own CSI? What is the minimum amount of coverage necessary to be "CSI"?
