Hi my husband, my little girl and have started to look at moving to Oz. He is currently a tyre fitter and worked in the motor trade for 10 years.

He is currently studying at night collage to become an electrician which he only started in September. He is doing his electrotechnical technology City & Guilds 2330 level 2.

What we are trying to find out is, is it worth him continuing with this training as he is only at the very beginning as will these qualifications be worth any thing in Oz?

Is there a course in the UK that would be better for him or even what is it like to study whilst working in Oz?

We would just like to give ourselves a best shot at this and not waste time on things.

Thanks :confused2:

Hi savvides,

What visa would you be thinking about? Most of them require experience in a profession as well as the qualifications.

Which of those skills (if any) are on the critical skills list? That may help you decide.

Regards,
Karen
