Saw this in the current issue of the Economist and thought I just had to share it with you all. Britain's “broken society”: Through a glass darkly | The Economist

Turns out society in the UK isn't as "gone to the dogs" as many here seem to think it is. In fact, things are actually getting better than they have been in some time!

I think it depends where you live and what articles you read. I take very little notice of the media anymore, they always sensationalise everything and are always heavily biased one way or t'other !

Well, I went back to good old London last week (live in NL these days) and it's still hustling and bustling with tourists. Now is that only because the pound's so weak or because people still love London's vibe?

But I agree with Jo, it'll depend on where you live... :)
