Hi,
I'm a British Citizen, moving to NI.
I haven't lived in the UK before.
I'd like to get blood work.
From what I read, it's free, and you need to get a GP appointment first, please correct me if I'm wrong.
How could I book an appointment? so I could eventually get blood work?
Thanks!

Hey,
Thanks fellows.

It is not yet clear to me.

Do I need to go to a GP practice nearby without any appointment and register there?

What happens next getting an appointment with a GP or could I get a referral to blood work?

Thank you.

Yes, go to a surgery and register. They will tell you if you can, such as living within the catchment area and whether they are accepting new patients. If they can't, use http://online.hscni.net/family-practitioners/general-practitioners-gps/ to find out where else to try. Register first and then make an appointment, and they will decide what to do, including whether blood test is required, what kind of screening etc.
