When he goes does he just need to take his confirmation appointment letter, or does he have to take somethng witha bar code on, to be scanned. I thought he did, but it might just be I've read so much info on different things.

The appointment confirmation print-out should have a barcode across the bottom; if his doesn't he needs to go back online, log into his application, and reprint the letter to be sure it does have the barcode.

That and his passport is all he needs for the US biometric appointment, which usually takes longer to drive to than the actual appointment, lol!

However, he should read the instructions on the appointments page and the print-out very, very carefully to make sure he goes where he is supposed to go, has all of the documentation he is supposed to have, and understands fully all that is expected of him at the appointment. Mine was over a year ago and things may have changed.

Remind him to scroll all the way to the bottom of each informational page as the UKBA packs a lot of info on the pages, has reformatted several of those pages, and it would be all too easy to miss something.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply, I thought I had read that the form should have the barcode on it. He's going back to the aplication and going to print the form again.
Beleive it or not, we've used an immigration lawyer, and he knows zilch, I've been on this forum so many times and learned so much and passed the info on to my husband who has informed the lawyer...yeah!! The lawyer had actually printed the application and two copies with a barcode, and his reaction was..hmmm wonder why its printed the same page twice. Lots of money wasted.
But thanks again for the above info.

Sandy
