Hi Everyone

I want to know the process and documents required for opening a bank account in Australia ?

I don't have any residential address can i use my Cousins PO BOX and address ? Does my cousin needs to show any documents on my behalf for the activation ?

I was thinking to open account during my entry to Australia

Which are the best banks in Australia ?

Many Thanks

You dont need any POBox or residential address to open a bank. Most banks provide migrant banking services and you can open account upto 12 months before your arrival.

You can google the migrant banking services for banks like NAB, CWB, ANZ, Westpac and you can open an account online by providing few details. Once opened you can transfer funds only , however you can withdraw funds only once you reach there and show your passport. You can check balance online anytime.
