They might call the person who issued the reference letter to check the validity of the letter.

Ok.Will they verify the company history as well, like when the company was established,TAN number of company, etc.?
dont know abt the full details - probably it depends. India according to DIAC is a high risk HR country so if they find something fishy they might do further checks...but this is just my opinion.

If eveything is clear, why do you need to worry about that?

They will verify the company exists and existed at the time you claimed to work their, that you worked their along with the person(s) who are signing your references.
Verify the company produces the product or service that you claim to have been employed to do their.
Verify it is a tax legitimate company as only legitimate skilled work can count.

Much of this they can often do without visiting or phoning the company via the Government information sharing. Sometimes however they will phone and speak to the MD, HR Dept or others. They could do unannounced visits outside or to the premises.

It wont happen usually until you get a CO assigned as they are the ones who instruct what is needed and what is not. Though many people assume they do not have a CO as they have heard nothing from them or believe they were allocated a CO on the day they first hear from them.

This is probably not true as a CO will only contact you if and when they need something. If they can progress without contacting you they will. I have seen grants without contact from CO as everything was front loaded and the application was good with all paperwork needed included.
