After nearly three months, much head scratching, especially about the mythical CO2 measurement that nobody does but is now needed for bikes in Spain and nearly 900 euros later my bike is fully matriculated. I only have to nip down to the car parts place this morning, get a plate, throw it on the bike and that's that:clap2:

Was it worth it? To me, yes. The bike is nowt special really but I'd spent quite a bit getting it how I want it, we couldn't have done the move without it and the experience gained about how various things work (or not) over here was dead handy.

My advice to anyone wanting to bring a bike over here from blighty is that unless it's something special to you sell it over there & buy another over here. They are more expensive in Spain but it's a lot less hassle (I seem to remember someone on here telling me exactly the same thing months ago)

The end of a saga:clap2:............ however, the mortgage we're trying to get is rapidly turning into another one ..........................:confused2:

Yeah, well done Doggy, all that hassle gave you summat to do tho didnt it. I cant wait to hear about the mortgage saga now. That should be interesting in this economic climate, I suspect you'll be pulling your hair out by the time you're half way thru (thats if you still have any lol) !!!!??????

I came here with the intention of doing as little as possible ( lazy git?....... you betcha ) but I must admit that finding out things for myself has been quite interesting........ if a little frustrating

I haven't much hair left now but I try to be laid back whatever happens so I think what's there is safe ......... unless it decides to fall out by itself of course which it has been doing for years now

We thought we were more than halfway through the mortgage process but apparently not:confused2:

Still, you're happy, aren't you? And, as you say the experience of doing all the paperwork etc is invaluable.

Aye, it's a lot eh but since we realised that this place was "home" (and a trip back to the UK confirmed that even more) we are determined to try & do things 'properly'. The bike is a part of that process and if that's what it costs then so be it .........mind you, it still caused a searing pain in the wallet when they told me

Hope you can enjoy your bike now, and get out on those roads!

I enjoyed it before but feel more comfy on it now it's got a bonny white plate on the back

(Are you still getting up early with your cup of coffee out on the terrace?)

I am but everything happens about an hour & a bit later now. The temperatures are a lot lower but the sparrows, swallows & bats are still mental and the coffee, of course, is still nigh on orgasmic:clap2:
