Ok so OH got offered a job and 457 visa over 10 days ago.
The employer said they would be in touch soon with more details, but we are yet to hear anything. We have emailed since, and OH even called them last night (found him collapsed on the sofa at 5am with his phone still in his hanf) and still had no luck.
We appreciate there is a lot to organise etc, but surely a quick email saying they haven't forgotten about us wouldn't be too hard to compose?
Are we being given the cold shoulder, or is this typical Ozzie laid-back in its truest form?

They are a global truck company, so big enough!
We have already emailed them twice saying "thanks for the offer, look forward to signing the contract, let me know what you need me to organise" and had no response to either, hence why OH decided to try and call them directly.
Its one thing to be laid back, but to offer someone a job, then dissapear of the face of the earth for 10 days is just mean!

This is it though _shel! They havent sent us anything. Just an email saying "congrats you have the job. We will be in touch soon with more details and your contract".
Talk about dangle the carrot!
Very hard to plan a move and get organised when you know its happening but not sure when!

Hi Gill. He is a mechanic and not a driver so no worries there.
We got the email we looking for a few hours ago, but im wondering if you could answere a question?
On a 457 visa, do all 3 of us need to enter Oz at the same time?
At the moment due to funds (lack of) we are hoping for my OH to go alone, then daughter and I follow in a few months? Is this possible?
