My wife and I both applied for our UK visas and successfully received our vignettes (ancestry for me and dependants longer than 6 months for her). I went to the UK soon after on business and sucessfully received my BRP but my wife will likely not be able to travel until after her vignette has expired. I know the post office has her BRP where I picked mine up (I saw it when they gave me mine).

If she cannot make it to the UK before her vignette expires do I apply for a new one and does it take long? Also will her existing BRP at the post office remain there for her to pick it up with her new vignette after arriving in the UK?

Appreciate any advice.

She will have to get vignette transfer which costs £122. Probably takes a couple of weeks.
I don't know what happens to the BRP, but will be available for collection when she enters on new vignette.
