Application being processed further - 27/01/2010

Guys :) ,
Today some good news to report! Am a December 2009 applicant and my application is being "processed further"
See my timeline and advise if I have already been assigned a case officer.
Also, I have started processing PCC and medicals. When will these be required??
Am sooooo happy!:D

hi zenji

this is good news indeed, wait for a month or till you hear form the CO. youc an start downloading, fillng forms. once you do hear form the CO, get the meds and PCC done. i dont suggest getting them done right away as it is the deciding factor for your initial entry date.

Thanks Anji,
I currently live in New Zealand so initial entry is not a problem as Australia is just 3 hours away.
I could go on Friday and return on Sunday to continue work on Monday!:D

Next week I want to undergo medicals and simply front load. Is that okay? I already have one police certificate. I need two more.
Is front loading okay??

meds have to be sent by post and the doc does that. i apologise, i totally forgot u r in NZ right now.. did not even bother checking the flag :p anyway, i suppose you should go ahead then.

Thats excellent news Zenji, it's one step closer

we were 2 months from 'docs being processed further' to receiving a request for medicals but when I was watching other peoples timings, we had one of the longer waits - other peoples seemed to average 6 weeks or so

so not long now......!

Good for you, Zenji! PCC and meds will be required soon. The CO will make him/herself known when you get the email.

I now have to prepare PCC & Meds as soon as possible. its now a rush...rush!!

according to my personal view it's better to wait till CO ask for medicals as that's what stated in DIAC site however there are other memebers who has received visa even if they uploaded medicals without CO 's requests...Examine & go with the balanced safe method..Good luck...

I applied through online process and my application status is as follows:-

24/08/2009 Application received - processing commenced
24/08/2009 Application fee received
07/09/2009 Application being processed further

document checklist shows following information :-

24/08/2009 Birth certificate or other evidence of age Required
24/08/2009 Copy of your passport Personal Particulars/Photo (bio-data) page Required
24/08/2009 IELTS English Test Report Results Required
24/08/2009 Evidence of overseas qualifications Required
24/08/2009 Evidence of skills assessment Required
24/08/2009 Evidence of Specific Work Experience Required
24/08/2009 Evidence of work experience Required
24/08/2009 Form 1221- Additional personal particulars information Required
24/08/2009 Passport photo Required
24/08/2009 Form 160EH - Radiologist report on chest x-ray Required
24/08/2009 Form 26EH - Medical Examination for an Australian visa Required

I have attached all these documents (except medicals) through the document attachment process. After that I got an email in October 2009, from DIAC with a document called "personal particulars for character assessment - form 80" which i filled and replied to DIAC. The case officer name also mentioned on that email.

Since then I haven't heard from DIAC or CO. I am getting worried, should I call DIAC and ask for the progress ? Please guide me. Thanks.

Probably Yes, because the documents are started showing as 'Met'.

Go ahead and complete medicals and PCC asap.

Hi guys,

Today I made an appointment for the medicals. So next Friday 5th Feb 2010, I will undergo the medicals then the results will be sent to Sydney.

Police certificates required from three countries. I have one so two more and I will then upload all at the same time.
