I got this last weekend - fantastic!

Anyone else in to it?
We are, and have 2 in the house.

They completely changed our TV entertainment lifestyle. We can watch what we want, when we want (as far as movies and shows) and much cheaper than buying DVD like we used to (just rent the movies that are to be watched once).

With a big screen TV and nice surround sound system, it is better (IMHO) than going to the theater.

Wish we had it years ago...

We set ourselves up with a Mac Mini, CD/DVD driver (for the existing music/movie collection) and an Apple TV.

Excellent and wonderfully satisfying technology.

We've got this thing called "airport" that somehow connects our iphones etc to the speakers around the house so we can listen to our music in whichever room we're in. Thats quite good

An apple tv is great, my buddy has one but mentioned that he can't use his UAE credit card to rent shows or movies. The reason being that most these movies and shows have copyright issues and can't be rented everywhere. Is that true? I'm sure there's a lot of copyright issues, guess an itunes gift card can do the trick :D

Sorry, I can't confirm that personally since all of my on-line accounts created and linked to my US information (i.e. address, CC, etc). And have been able to access all of them all over the world.

The only exceptions are for services that limited their content to US-only, then a simple VPN account will by-pass that.

I have heard before from others that using a non-US account can limit some of the content, but didn't know if you could use a non-US CC with a US-account.
