Another visa question.

Hello,
I would like to begin by thanking everyone here. I have been lurking for a few months and have found some very helpful information. I joined today to see if anyone could suggest a few things to help facilitate my visa process.
I will be graduating college in the spring and wish to live abroad. I have decided, at this time, to forgo getting a masters or doctorate. This obviously precludes me from obtaining a student visa.
Fortunately I have done relatively well managing a private equity fund. I will be able to continue this management with little difficulties in the UAE. When I contacted the embassy they did not give me a conclusive answer to my question regarding my need for a work visa. Since the fund is based in the US, there are no connections to the Emirates for sponsorship. Is there a better way to approach this issue?
Again, thank you for your time.

No matter what you do for a living, if you want to remain in the UAE you require sponsorship, via an employer/company. Alternatively you can set up your own company at significant cost.
