Hi, we have been in the UK since 1 Jan 2007, on an Ancestry Visa (we are from SA). We applied for ILR on 3 Dec 2011, had the confirmation letter on the 7 Dec 2011. We havent heard anything more since - going on for 20 weeks! Would love to know if anyone else is in the same situation.

3-4 months is more common, so you should hear from them soon.

Thanks, however when you are applying for 3 dependents it is almost an extra £900 pounds!! We really didnt have a choice - so I guess we just have to wait
