Hello all, I've been if'ing and are'ing about a move to Australia for some time now. My brother inlaw has made the break and moved firstly to New Zealand and then to Australia (lucky ****** did it though work postings). He's coming back in March for a three week holiday and its got me seriouly interested in making the break myself, problem is that I'm over whelmed by the whole process and as where to start. Also I have a great job and all the other stuff like house car and belongings.

Where and how did you lot start the move over.

Good luck!

Hello Mr Dave,

I just wanted to wish you luck, and let you know you're not alone! We too are at the very beginning of our investgiations, and it is tough deciding to leave the security of everything at home. However, we have wanted to make the move for years, and have decided to finally take the plunge in 2010.

I'm afraid that I can't offer you much advice as I'm only just starting out, but keep us posted with your progress on here, I am sure many of those who have gone through the process will have pearls of wisdom for you.

Nicky.

Thanks everyone. I've read the links which you stated. Thought you may of had a few points to stay clear of but never mind. 2010 is my year to devote to the biggest move of my familys life, so I need to get it right. My wife is 100% behind me all the way as she moved alot as a child because of her Dads work placements. :plane:.
