Hi,

For my ancestry application, since I have to go home and apply from Canada, I will need to use my parent's address as my residential address (I've been living in the UK the past two years already). It asks on the application how long you've lived at that address and I'm really unsure about what to put. My parents moved to that new address this past October while I was living here, and obviously I've not lived in Canada since 2013 so I really don't know what to put down since it's an address I've never lived in personally.

Anyone have any advice? I'm sure this is something that happens often but on the online application there's not really a ton of room to explain the situation.

Thanks!

Just put the date/time you moved back to Canada. It's not a trick question.

Alright, thanks. Just wasn't sure if they would be iffy about it cause my online application is being sent the same day I land back in Canada.

No, because you are a Canadian national you have the right of abode immediately you land on your native soil.
