From the ACT:
The ACT Government is closing the 2008/09 quota on 1 June 2009. We will not be accepting any sponsorship applications for a quota occupation after this date unless they have been previously verified.
On 30 June 2009, all offers to consider sponsorship of a quota occupation (e.g verification of a CV) will be withdrawn. If you have had a CV verified, the sponsorship application must be lodged and receipted before 30 June 2009.
On 30 June 2009 the 2008/09 ACT skills list will close. Applications for ACT Government sponsorship of all occupations, including quota occupations, will not be accepted after this date.
Applications received after 30/06/09 will be held over and assessed against the new sponsorship criteria and ACT Skills in Demand list to be published on 1 August.
1 August 2009. We will reopen the 2009/10 quota and start accepting sponsorship applications again when the new 2009/10 ACT Skills in Demand list is published on 1 August 2009.
