Hi AusVisaGuru's

I need clarification on my case before I proceed for ACS with my education and work expericne details

My Educational Background:

B.E - computer Science Engineerin - course completed April 2007
M.B.A - November 2009 - September 2011 (MBA in UK -Wales university so no speciific catogery - In my CC they mentioned all HR,Marketing, Operational )

Work Experience Background:

Employee 1: 02 July 2007 to 30 June 2009 - Designation: Software Engineer.(This compnay is no exist as of now)
Employer 2: 30 August 2011 to 12 October 2012 - Designation: Associate Consultant - PeopleSoft Delivery (I have joined this company after my MBA gradutaion and this company name changed)
Employer 3: 15 OCtober 2012 to 03 December 2013 - Designation: Software Engineer ( only Designation is S/W but my R&R was similar to Business analyst in same domain Peoplesoft)
Employer 4: 12 December 2013 to Till Date - Designation: Package Solution Consultant: PeopleSoft.Payroll (Peoplesoft) - GBS ( Now My designation is canged to "IT specialist")

My Queries:

1. I want to apply for Business Analyst ANZcode 261111. If I apply ACS now will I get 10 points for my work Experince and 15 point for my Educaionn background as per the current rules mentioned in the ACS asseement process.

I am not going to claim points for my spouce as they she did schooling in tamil meduim and gradutaion in english medium (3 yr degree)

Flowchart of my BG.

I did BE >>> 2 yr work Exper >>> Studied MBA > 6 yr of Exper. (till date in same domain with BA R&R's)

If I get work points as 10 & gradutioan 15 & age 30 ( DOB 23.10.1985) & English PTE 10 ( yet to appear for PTE exam)

total points = 10+15+30+10 = 65 points.

Please advice.

Many Thanks in Advance to all !

Regards,
Siva.

15 from education for sure. If your first employment can be assessed as ICT BA (your roles, responsibilities and skills from this tenure should match with the baseline skills listed for ICT BA), then you should be able to earn 10 points from employment (8 - 2 = 6 years of skilled employment).

No, you should not exclude your first employer. You should provide all your employments (8+ years) and as per ACS rules, they will mark first 2 years of your work experience as not eligible for points and you will thus be left with 6+ years of work experience to claim points from (10 points for >5 but <8 years of ACS certified skilled experience). If you exclude your first employment, it would be 6 years that you would apply with and be then left with 4 years of skilled experience that will give you only 5 points (>3 and <5 years of skilled work experience).

I have one doubt here,

Why 2 + 2 Years are going out of exper in my case...

as per ACS only first 2 years of exper is taken out ofr points

As said in my post#3 above, it would be only 2 years taken away and not 2+2.

You said, "BE >>> 2 yr work Exper >>> Studied MBA > 6 yr of Exper." which is a total of 8 years of work experience, taking 2 away would leave you with 6 years (and thus 10 points).

If however, you yourself choose to exclude the first employment episode of 2 years (or should ACS deem it as not related to ICT BA), ... it is then that I meant that you would be left with the related 6 years of total work experience and with a deduction of 2 over it, you will be left with only 4 years to claim points from. Remember: The deduction is from "related" work experience and years not related to the ANZSCO you nominate (ICT BA in your case) won't even be considered in the calculations.

Thanks a lot Keeda !

I will not leave my 1st employer.... I will submit my 1sr employer documents and R&R's but if ACS want to contact my first employer 1 then it is question mark as they do not exist now.

If ACS excludes then i will get 5 points for work Exp. > am right ?

If ACS includes then i will get 10 points for work Exp. > am right ?

Yes, right on both counts.

ACS does not contact your employers. They base their results purely based on the documents you submit and it is later at visa stage that DIBP may contact your employers to verify your claims.

Thanks a lot for your time and replies Keeda!

DIBP will contact all the employer for all cases? any idea/clue....

One final question .....

If I want to claim 5 points for my spouse English... then she must go for PTE or IELTS.? it is mandatory ?

she did schooling in Tamil medium and 3 yr bachelors degree in English medium and I can get letter form her college as evidence.

will this letter will be consider the my spouse is functional English ? so that i will get 5 point here.

If or whom they contact cannot be said, it all depends and varies per case.

To claim 5 partner points, your wife needs to prove competent English (and not functional) and must have a skills assessment in any occupation from the same skills list as applicable for your visa type.

No need to say sorry, Siva. We all here are happy to be of any help.

Why a declaration? Prefer to have it as a reference document on employer letterhead. I sure can share you a template (which really isn't too different than the ACS given format). I'll PM you.

Cheers,
