Hi,

As per my understanding i think btech will be assessed ICT Minor and some experience would be deducted for the same.
Iam saying this cause when i started inquiring about the same i got this response and some who have gone through the process had the same experience so we dont need an RPL thats for sure but some experience years would be deducted best case scenario is 2 years or 4 years from overall experience.

Hope this helps.. i was planning to apply in the month of july but one company took its own sweet time to give me the experience letter anyway iam getting started with all the documents for the ACS..all the best
Your degree will be assessed as ICT Major and also related to the ANZSCO code you are planning to apply with normal 2 yrs of experience deducted. Chill and go ahead.

Cheers!

Australian Computer Society Skill Assessment

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the prompt response!. I have another query !
I have 4 years IT experience . If my degree is considered as ICT Minor by ACS and my 4 years of experience is deducted by ACS. Am I still be able to apply for Australia PR Visa if I have 65 points for age, language and degree?

As long as the assessment is positive, you can apply

Make sure you have more then 4 years clear experience as on the date of the reference letter or SD.
Don't be under the impression that the date you apply will considered by ACS

In fact even with 65 points you stand a decent chance of getting invite too albeit with a few months wait

Cheers
Thanks for prompt response!. My main worry is that my Btech in Electronics and Communication is ICT major or minor. I want to ensure this before I apply for ACS (Australian Computer Society).
Can somebody help me with this query? I have checked on the ACS website but there is nothing quite clear basis of the subjects they have mentioned.

Most E&C graduates from india applying under 2613 got a positive assessment after 4 years of deductions

In case you don't get a specific reply

ACS Query - Got promoted but with same RnR

Folks,

A concern pertaining to my promotion. From 1st September, I have been promoted. While this exactly isn't a promotion, more of a progression (only the title changes), with the overall job band as well as the RnR remaining exactly the same.

E.g I've been made a Solution Engineer from Associate Solution Engineer.

Applied for ACS (2613) in August and expecting the result soon. Three things I wanted to clarify-

1. Is there is a need to undergo a re-assessment due to change in title?

2. Should I provide a breakdown of this during my EOI?

3. I won't be claiming any points for my work experience as it is well below 5 years. So should my work ex be marked as relevant while filing my EOI?

You get 5 points even with 3 years Skilled experience

Reframe the question after taking this into consideration

What I meant was after deduction of 2 years by ACS, my work ex would be less than 3 years..(Assuming all goes well with my ACS)

As your assessment has still not been completed, contact ACS immediately and inform that you have been promoted. Give the letter copy.
May be they will consider it in this assessment itself

Cheers
