Hi Friends,

Recently I have applied for ACS assessment with all the required documents.

out of 5 companies i have worked i have provided references on letter head for 3 companies and other 2 companies 1 company is not existing for which i have given statutory declaration authorized by Lawyer and for other i have given my shift lead reference authorized by gazetted officer and lawyer.

But we received a response from case officer that we need to submit the references for these 2 companies also on the letter head.

No idea what to do if i decide to leave those 2 companies then i loose 2.6 yrs experience out of 8 yrs.

And my case officer is Lisa.

Any ideas any suggestions - please post

Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear that. Did you just provided statutory declarations or you have also provided any other documents for these two companies viz. offer letters, salary slips (if any) Form16 ( tax documents), any kind of promotion letters, bonus letters or email conversations from official id if you have to support your case?

If you don't have experience or reference letters, may be providing any of the above documents might help strengthen your case.

All they see is you resume and then they seek for proof of what is written in it. If you provide enough evidence on not just the experience or training but of what actually you did while in it - is all that matters!

Thank you for all the replies!!

Out of those 2 companies for 1 company we have provided a to z offer letters , payslips, hike letters etc and only the thing is reference letter is on A4 by the lead certified by lawyer and gazetted officer- my consultant said that for this it should be ok.

But for the other one - it was a very very small company and salaries were paid in cash so no statutory documents - the only thing available is service certificate.

Worst case what will happen will they exclude the first company experience??

"salaries were paid in cash so no statutory documents"

I did not quite get this line. Statutory letter is from your end and should have been included stating that its a small company with cash salary etc.

I think you should submit a statutory declaration for both companies.

cheers!

So for one company you provided every supporting docs that you have except for reference letter. Did you provided standard experience letter which states your designation, your tenure with company but no roles and responsibilities?

For two companies I too provided offer letter, bonus letter, promotion letter, H1B petition (done by 1 company), and experience (reference) letters are also included but the standard one, the one without roles and responsibilities. My documents are reached there today only so let's see what they say. I am hoping they should not ask additional documents, as other documents clearly states that designation was Software Engineer and Sr. Software Engineer.

Hello indian, are you sure your documents without detailed roles would suffice?

I read somewhere they they do not only want to know on what roles did someone work but what exactly did he work on...

And also that only complete files are guaranteed to be evaluated before 1st July... Incase they do, I really suggest you get those ready before hand and ship em immediately when asked for just to speed things up a bit.

Sure I will do so, thanks for your advice. One company is IBM, not sure if IBM will respond quickly on this matter. But well I will ask them.

Another company I am hopeful I can letter get on time. But one should know that H1B petition from company like IBM is for Software Dev/ Testers etc only. And My offer letter, Full n Final Letter and Standard Exp letter states that I was Application Programmer at the time of joining and Software Engineer (level) at time of leaving the organization.

Nevertheless I will try to reach out HR deptt of both the companies.

Thanks again foxybagga

Have you applied for Software Developer Programmer or Software Engineer category? I applied for Software Engineer category but am unsure if I did the right thing.

Though my letters say Software Engineer I thought that since I was into Software Design + Development + Testing + Delivery, it makes me an engineer rather than just a programmer. Baffled though!

I want to clarify one more doubt - will they call or email the references for checks?

My consultancy asked me to prepare a letter with the reasons why no other documents can be submitted and will be certified by commissioner of oaths to submit may be they will reach next week - hoping for the best.
