Hi All,

This site looks to be very useful in finding all the details about 189 and 190 Visas.I am new to to this group and wanted to know some details regarding ACS assessment. I have done my B.tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering. I have totally 8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development and currently working in London, and I am 33 years old.

My question here is can i claim points for my 8 years experience? or will ACS deduct my experience? I can see some threads in this forum in which ACS has reduced the experience ( 2o 4 years).

One more point, I had Java Programming subject in my B.tech semesters too.

Please advise me the chances of claiming points for 8 years experience.

Please suggest me whether I can proceed with 189 visa

Regards
Sanjeev

I'm new to this forum too :) Why would these other people have work experience deducted from them exactly?? Perhaps it is because the work was done BEFORE the qualification was completed, which as far as I know is not accepted by most of the skill assessment authorities for an Australian visa.
