Hi all,

1) As we haven't applied online yet we have a few questions about the process. After the online application how much time we have to present/send the documents? Can we choose the date or is it decided by the office? How long is this period usually?

2) We are a couple currently living overseas and we’ve been facing difficulties to rent an apartment from Brazil: real estate agents don’t even return the e-mails.
Do you have any advise that could help us?

3) We’ve read on this forum the post of a couple (Jane14 user) who had the same problem and sent to the Office evidences as e-mails exchanged with real estate agents about the intentions of renting an apartment in the future, and also the receipt of a hotel room booked for two weeks and those documents were accepted.
Do you think this is too risky or do you know any other similar cases?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Mariana.

#1 There isn't a maximum, but most people do it within a week or so. Leaving too long and your online details are automatically deleted, and you have to start again with requesting refund of fees and reapplying.
#2 and #3 If you have a relative or friend with whom you can stay temporarily, that's the best way and what most people do. UKVI may or may not accept hotel accommodation or email exchange with rental agents.
