Hi there

Hope someone can help?

My wife is due to apply for her ILR soon, she has been back to visit her family abroad but only for a total of about 3 weeks during her time on her FLR. However we read that you need to count your absences backwards from the date you apply for ILR. So does that mean that she will have to wait 3 weeks longer than when she can apply for ILR?

Hope someone can clarify?

PS I by mistake posted in the wrong forum earlier.

You needn't worry. 3 weeks is absolutely nothing. Only if you've been away close to or more than 50% of the time, they will start to ask questions. She can apply up to 28 days before her current leave expires.
