Hi Guys,
I moved to Perth around a month ago. Things are really quite here and am starting to feel a bit lonely these days. May be it is because I donot know any one here. Can anyone tell me how can I find a community place or something where I can meet people in my age group? (20-26) ?

I've been in Perth for 5 months and have got a good group of friends. It is quite common when we are out to have people on their own just strike a conversation with us and ending up joining the group for a few drinks.

People are really friendly in Perth and if you are confident, go out on your own and just strike a conversation with other people in the bar. You'll soon make friends.

I agree with Naoto as well. I've done a bit of volunteer work and met a few people that way. You can also go jogging or take up any other activity. Once you start going regularly, the other regulars will recognise you and you can make friends that way.

Just adding this here for posterity...

1. NEVER ingratiate yourself upon people.

2. Friendship MUST be initiated by the girl/woman. Otherwise, you run a very HIGH risk of being labeled a creep.
