Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and need your valuable suggestions on my case.

I am looking forward to applying for PR, below are my details.

221214 Internal Auditor

Age-30
Experience - 10 (more than 5 years)
Qualification- 15 (Cost & Mgmt acct India)
PTEA- 0 ( L-64,R-71,S-60,W-69)
489 FS- 10 (Real sister in Melbourne with PR)

Overal score with 489 FS- 65

Another scenario:-

going for 189 and will again give PTEA to get at least 65 + in all section.

Age-30
Experience - 10 (more than 5 years)
Qualification- 15 (Cost & Mgmt acct India)
PTEA- 10 (assuming with 65 + in all section)

Overal score with 189- 65

I need your suggestion on above two scenarios, should I start rolling the ball with my current PTEA score and go for 489 or apply with 189 later when I get 65 plus in PTEA.

Please suggest on the timeline in both of the cases. Also, I haven't started my assessment with VETASSES yet. what will be the usual time period they take to process the application?

Thanks

I would suggest you to sit in PTE-A or ielts again because 489 requires your relative should be living in regional area(remote area) and you should also be living and be working in remote area which provides less job opportunity. Secondly, 489 has very few visas compare to 189 or 190 therefore timeline is way to long.

I would suggest go for the skills assessment first. It will take some time; in the meantime sit for an English test.

Ponder upon different scenarios once you have your assessment.

Having said so, 489 is not a PR; its a provisional visa. Go for 189 if you have required points score after your skills assessment, and new English test results.
