Hi,

I hope this is the right place to post this....I am looking for advice regarding the process
of 457 visa.

I am Originally from Yemen but currently living in Saudi Arabia. Sponsorship and nomination are approved on the 12th of May 2015. Now I am just waiting for my visa application to be processed. I have submitted all the requirements to meet the criteria for the grant of the visa. ( Health Exam, IELTS, Work Experience from previous employer...)

My question is, I was in Australia on a temporary visa for a couple of years. By mistake, I have overstayed my visa then I went to the immigration to sort this out. So they gave me a Bridging visa E on a departure grounds and I left Australia before that visa had expired.

So will this affect the process of 457 visa? Is there anything else I should do to help the process go smoothly?

Awaiting your reply

Thank you.

Its really hard to say but usually if the one overstays then they are normally subject to a 3 year exclusion period.
