Hi Friends,

I am currently on 457 visa and have applied for PR under 189. My 457 visa is expiring in November 2017. The bridging visa A that I was issued along with my PR application tells that the bridging visa is not in effect as I have another substantive visa. How do I get my bridging visa into effect after my 457 visa expires. Please let me know. I do not have much time to get my bridging visa into effect.

Your bridging visa will automatically come into effect the moment your 457 expires, so you don't need to do anything. You can check VEVO both before and after your 457 expires if you want to double-check it's now active.
