Hello

With regards to the 28 Day Rule can someone let me know if I'm covered?

Apply on 9 June

Latest Payslip dated - 31 May 2015
Latest Bank statement dated - 29 May 2015
Employer Letter dated - 4 June
Employer's Accountant's letter dated - 5 June

The company I work have outsourced their payroll to their accountants.

Payslips are always dated on the last day of the month even if that falls on a weekend. I receive pay on 28th of each month and the payslip on the 28th also but the payslips are dated the last day of the month. Could this be a problem?

thanks

I just want to add to the above that I have provided 7 months payslips and bank statements covering the 7 months credits into my account.

Payslips are dated - 30 Nov / 31 Dec / 31 Jan / 28 Feb / 31 Mar / 30 Apr / 31 May

Statement dated - 01 Dec / 31 Dec / 30 Jan / 27 Feb / 01 Apr / 01 May / 29 May

I think I'm with the 28 day rule. Could me providing 7 bank statements be a problem?

I assumed that for the visa 6 payslips and bank statement is the minimum and providing more is better.

No, more isn't better. If you are applying under Category A the requirement calls for 6 pay slips and 6 bank statements so that's what you should provide.
Thank Nyclon

I'm sure I read somewhere you need to provide AT LEAST 6 months payslips and bank statements. I assumed the more the better so I submitted 7 months. I wasn't aware of the 28 day rule and now i'm worried we have messed up big time.

Will our application get rejected as we have submitted 7 payslips and 8 Statements covering the 7 months pay?

As the statement are numbered on the top I supplied from 111 to 118 - couple of the statements don't show salary credits but I didn't want leave a gap so I submitted them.

Below I have detailed my payslips and statements - you can see the last six payslips and statements are within 6 months period. Also my last payslip and bank statement is are dated within 28 Days.

Do you workout the with 6 months and 28 days from the date of submission of online application or from when you hand the documents in?

Date on Payslip App Submitted Days Months Rounded
30/11/2014 09/06/2015 191 6.82 7
31/12/2014 09/06/2015 160 5.71 6
31/01/2015 09/06/2015 129 4.61 5
28/02/2015 09/06/2015 101 3.61 4
31/03/2015 09/06/2015 70 2.50 3
30/04/2015 09/06/2015 40 1.43 1
31/05/2015 09/06/2015 9 0.32 0

Statement Date App Submitted Days Months Rounded
01/12/2014 09/06/2015 190 6.79 7
02/12/2014 09/06/2015 189 6.75 7
31/12/2014 09/06/2015 160 5.71 6
30/01/2015 09/06/2015 130 4.64 5
27/02/2015 09/06/2015 102 3.64 4
01/04/2015 09/06/2015 69 2.46 2
01/05/2015 09/06/2015 39 1.39 1
29/05/2015 09/06/2015 11 0.39 0

I hope someone can look at the above and advise if I have covered the 6 months rule and the 28 days rule. Also if me supplying 7 payslips and bank statement could result in application getting rejected.

Thanks in advance

They won't refuse your application just because you submitted one extra payslip; it's just a bit excessive, and it can only count against you if there are discrepancies. Better to just stick to six months...

Do you workout the with 6 months and 28 days from the date of submission of online application or from when you hand the documents in?
It's from the date of online application

I really think you are fine, but this is ONLY my opinion from my own research and from my observations on forums like these :) I wish you luck!
